Internet Marketing has been attracting a lot of interest from people around the globe. Many have jump into marketing on the internet after they hear story of how some gurus out there have make millions and millions of dollars marketing online.
Additionally, they see internet marketing as a low startup cost business with the potential to make a lot of money from it. Most importantly, they are attracted to the luxury of making that money from their home, with just a internet connection and a computer.
All this benefits is good and very true only if you know how to market online. Many who have already started marketing will tell you the other side of the story. They will tell you that it is hard to make money on the internet.
Why?
It’s because they do not know how to market on the internet. They are overwhelmed with ton of marketing information and do not know how to start, when to start and most importantly, did not do anything at all. Even if they do something, they find that their effort is not handsomely rewarded as they have hope.
Well, it is not their fault that they experience all this frustration. Just as in any industry, you find that the 20/80 percentage rule applied. You will realized that only 20 percent of the top internet marketers make the 80 percent of the overall money while the other 80 percent of the average to poor internet marketers share the rest of the 20 percent money pie.
It may not be fair but this is a reality. That’s why the rich in this world is getting richer while the poor is getting poorer.

Nonetheless, with the advanced of technology, it makes direct marketing more automated, speedier and more economic. Simply, with the internet, direct marketing realized it full potential.
Just think about it… if everyone coming online in the hope of making ton of money are all looking up to those Gurus, then my question to you is that would you give yourself an unfair advantage if you are also perceived as a internet marketing guru?
It is not hard to be a guru on the internet. Simply, read more, think more and write more. Sooner or later, as your thought and value are propagated into the internet medium, people will listen to you and view you as another guru.
2) Focus On Tasks That Make You The Money
Here’s the thing. Many internet marketers spent too much of their time and energy focusing on the wrong thing. The end result is that they are not able to make any good progress in their marketing effort and thus, feel discouraged as a result.
Why is this so?
The reason is because they pay too much attention on the wrong thing. They spent too much time on SEO, RSS feed and all those fanciful technologies.
The question is will these technologies help you to make money online. They are just a vehicle to help you to leverage on so that you can make more money. They are not the heart of your money making machine on the internet.
What then is the heart of your money making machine online?
Anything that bring you more money the quicker and soonest is your money making machine.
For example, good copywriting will increase your sales with the same number readers. So copywriting is part of your money making machine.
3) Be The Ultimate Marketer
As the name implied, internet MARKETING, you need to learn to be the ultimate and best marketer around.
Marketing bring in the dollars and cents for you through a system. Therefore, as an internet marketer, you need to spend all your time and energy to learn and apply marketing.
You have to know how to build your marketing system online, and how each component in your marketing system work together as a well oiled marketing machine.
My advice is that you go and read up anything that you can lay your hand on direct response marketing. Direct response marketing is the most effective and powerful way to market online.
Not only do you need to read and be amazed with the direct response marketing strategies, you need to think, innovate and enhance what you have learnt to make them better, quicker and simpler.
It is my belief that the best marketing principle are simple but yet powerful. Therefore, think simple and make thing as simple as possible. This way, you could be on your way up to be the ultimate marketer online.
4) Be A Platform Speaker
As an internet marketer, you need to find opportunity to speak in front of an audience. This way, you can escalate to the guru status faster.
Not only that, as a seminar speaker, you can build trust among the internet marketers on you. Have you watch a live concert of a famous singer before? When he or she ask the audiences to raise their hands and wave, the audience follow suit. The singer can control and manipulate the audience, and get them emotionally charged up.
Similarly, you need to train yourself to be a platform speaker that can command your very own reservoir of fans base.
If you can do that, just think about how much money you can make speaking. At the end of the seminar, you can dispatch them to buy your products and get an instant influx of cash into your pocket, at the push of a button. Isn’t that nice?
But first, you need to work yourself up so that people perceived you as a guru. So when you are invited to speak on a platform, make the full use of it start your fans recruitment.
My advice is that you join a toast master club to brush up your presentation and speaking skills. This skill will be the most important skill that you can learn as an internet marketer.
Now, you probably already realized that internet marketing is not all able doing things online, you need to combine offline events with online leverage to make a killing in your internet marketing career.
5) In Everything That You Do, Think Leverage
Finally, think leverage. Whatever you do, think about how you can leverage and increase the effectiveness of your marketing effort. What I mean is to always use the least effort to make get the maximum result in whatever things you do.
For example, after you have written a sales letter, think about how you can make use of this sales letter, other than putting it up as a web page to sell your product.
Primarily, there are three components that you can exercise leverage. They are:
• Others people effort and time.
• Others people money
• A system that you can use to maximize for greater productively and reusability.
When you think leverage, always think along this three components and you will not go wrong.
In summary, this are the three pointers you need to work on if you want to make a killing online.

Have you ever driven to the store looking for the perfect shoe? You go from store to store looking at what they have to offer until you find just the right one. But when you go to the sales person and ask for one in your size they tell you that they are sold out of your size. The more this happens, the more enticing online shopping becomes. Some of the bigger traditional stores have tried online stores and come to the conclusion that they don’t work. If you check out their stores you can buy anything they could not sell in the store but not every item the store sells.
The traditional Brick and Mortar edge. For store owners who depend on foot traffic to make sales the growth of online retailers is a serious threat. The local store now has to focus on its strength and hope that remains enough to win the consumer.
Privacy and Security. Preying on the fear that your private information will be out there for anyone to grab and abuse is a favorite of the traditional store. However as more americans get used to online banking, booking travel arrangements, buying movie tickets and using secure websites this perceived advantage is loosing its punch. These days you are more likely to loose your privacy to a person you actually hand your credit card to than online.
Interaction. The internet is said to be an interactive medium. By having a person available to greet you the local store may seem to have an advantage. The problem is that anyone who has ever gone to the internet before they went shopping tends to know more about what they are looking for than the sales people.
A well thought out website anticipates your questions and answers them with knowledge and experience. Rarely when you go to the store do you get to talk to anyone who actually knows anything about what you are looking for. It just is not possible for the owner to be available for every customer walking through the door. But online, the owner can be involved. Experience has taught them the questions you are going to ask about every product and they know the answer. You can be half way around the world, shopping while the store owner sleeps and he can still be answering your question because he has anticipated it.
Selection. The local store used to boast better selection than you could find online. That is far from true now. By going to web sites that specialize in the product you are looking for you can usually find what you seek.
Shipping. The local store might not appear to charge any shipping. However that depends on your point of view. You still pay for shipping when you buy from the local store, it just comes in the form of a higher price. If the item is not in stock you pay for your gas to go to and from the store to find that out. Then when the item is at the store you pay for your gas back and forth again. Finding something online and paying to have it delivered in most cases is still less than you would pay to drive all over until you find it locally. After driving to and from work the last thing most people want to do is get back in the car and drive more.
The internet can be a cost effective way to save money as a consumer. By cutting out the need for a store, the middle man between the manufacturer and the consumer one can get a higher quality product for the same price as a similar one from your local store.

Forget the Computer Age or the Internet Age, centuries from now our current time will probably be referred to as the Google Age. This assumption is not exactly a great leap of faith; Google has quickly permeated into mainstream culture to become an underlying factor of everyday life, a tightly woven backdrop to our lives.
But never make the mistake of trying to define Google as just a search engine or you will miss the true calling of this little “Backrub”, which was the original name used by its founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1996.
Google as we now know it debuted in 1998. The name Google is a twist on the word Googol, a number represented as 1 followed by 100 zeros. After everything is said and done, it will more than likely refer to Google’s net worth - monetary or otherwise.
But forget search engine, for regardless of the founders’ intentions or company’s objectives, Google is and has always been the ultimate marketing machine. A massive marketing machine that is just now gearing up and aiming for more and more lofty heights. These heights seem to increase each day as Google quietly rolls out program after program.
All noble ambitions aside, Google is the perfect marketing machine. Google has no equals, and it is very close to getting a stranglehold on the real power behind all marketing, which is information.
Marketing is information. Information is marketing.
Great marketing is supplying the right information at the right time. Google more than any other entity on the web or in the world, for that matter, fulfills this criterion at its very core. Google is re-writing the book on how products are marketed.
Google now has over 60% of the search traffic in the U.S., with a staggering 7.3 billion monthly searches. In some countries Google’s search share is 80% or more. (Source: comScore) Those webmasters who have number one keyword listings in all three of the major search engines will know Google is the only game worth playing because it delivers by far the most traffic.
While MSN and Yahoo! are still major players and are listed in the top 5 traffic sites on the web, what most people don’t realize is that (unlike the other two) almost all of Google’s traffic is search traffic. From a marketing perspective this is extremely important since search traffic can deliver the highest conversions (sales) mainly because it lets you capture the potential customer or client when they are in the right mindset to buy or to perform an action.
Obviously the key to successful marketing is finding the buyers and clients for your products and services. Google has forged itself as the ultimate “middleman” as more and more of the world’s business is performed in cyberspace. And as everyone knows the “middleman” can reap huge profits and hold enormous power.
Google, within its Adsense program, now offers CPA or Cost Per Action where marketers can now receive larger returns for displaying Google’s links on their webpages. As any professional marketer will tell you, you can get 10 times the revenue by promoting affiliate products rather than the Adsense code on your sites. But by adding CPA and other affiliate products within the Adsense program, Google has made it more attractive to serious online marketers.
Another step in that same direction is Google’s acquisition of DoubleClick, which includes the massive online affiliate marketing network Performics. This means Google can now bring any customer full-circle from initial search to checkout.
This may have dire consequences for large, lucrative third-party affiliate networks like Commission Junction and LinkShare. Online marketing and ecommerce is growing at a blistering rate, and the company that controls the majority of these transactions will wield enormous power. Will make the Medici look like paupers.
Those marketers who have managed to acquire number one listings for their targeted keywords in Google’s organic search are smiling all the way to the bank. Mainly because Google commands enormous trust with the surfing/buying public and this is demonstrated through higher conversion rates. Likewise, those who have mastered the Adsense and Adwords programs will know Google is an excellent source of online income.
Most of the complaints against Google stems from its PageRank system, which is supposed to be Google’s version of online democracy in action, a link is a vote for your page or content. The higher the number of links, the higher your page will be ranked in Google’s index or SERPs - Search Engine Results Pages.
So far Google has played fair, giving even the smallest webmaster the opportunity to capture top Google listings if they produce superior or popular content to the surfer. Some would even argue Google’s recent crackdown on sites offering paid-links can be seen as evening the playing field for the small webmaster or marketer who obviously doesn’t have the economic clout or resources to buy their way to the top of Google’s listings.
Keyword rankings may be the ultimate equalizer and determiner of online wealth. Those who can reach the top positions for their chosen profitable niche keywords will have companies and service providers lining up to do business with them. The fallout can prove extremely lucrative for both parties.
However, few marketers or webmasters forget who is really holding the cards; Google controls all steps along this marketing tunnel with its search listings, Adwords and Adsense programs. The only dark spot on the horizon could be monopoly issues, but Google probably has enough reservoirs of public goodwill and deep enough corporate pockets to squash any claims.
As Google’s dominance in the search market becomes greater, Google will have control of all segments of the online marketplace. Why should Google stop there, why not go into Radio, TV… as the Internet gradually mutates into a billion+ interactive TV channel universe (as many believe it will) who do you think will be at control central offering you a nice free remote?
Then there is also Google’s planned broadband 700 MHz bid; one can only speculate on Google’s intentions. But Google must find a way to transmit its information at no cost to its users. Could it mean free wireless Internet for everyone on free Google boxes or gadgets of some form, usable and accessible anywhere in the world? Anything is possible because the stakes are so astronomical and the marketing revenue so vast, Google must get its information seamlessly and instantly to the end user at all costs.
One can only guess at the enormity of the marketing power Google will yield in coming years as the Internet slips out of its teen years. But it won’t be just marketing, the influence of Google on all aspects of our lives will probably grow exponentially and that influence will be huge.
For the true power of Google is only just now beginning to be glimpsed; only as more and more of the Google pieces fall into place will we truly fathom what life will be like in the Google Age. Google’s power, reverence and respect will no doubt be so enormous it may lead some to make comparisons to a higher power that has guided most of the life on this planet so far. Which could also lead one to muse, at least they got the first two letters correct.

The aim of this article is to show how using some recognised traffic generation methods and a consistent and regimented weekly work routine, can bring a constant and ever growing flow of organic (free) traffic to your online MLM business.
I first became involved in the online business world five years ago, when I joined my first internet based home business. Like many newcomers, I had high hopes of making big bucks in a relatively short space of time. I started to attend the usual networking presentations and meetings to try and get my business off to a flying start. There were two questions I always wanted to have answered. How did the top networking leaders within my company get to where they are and what was their secret?
At the start of my online experience I was a long way from being internet savvy. It took me two and a half years of going absolutely nowhere, to realise that it was imperative to have an online presence at the very least if I was to turn what I had into a successful online MLM business. Besides, my dreams of being financially secure were still far from being realised. I knew very little at this time about websites and what went into creating them, so I did some research. I found a company who on the face of it looked very professional, had some top clients on their books and gave me the impression that they would not only build a stunning website for me but would also optimize the site for the benefits of the search engines; a practice otherwise known as search engine optimization (SEO). I parted with a considerable sum of money and then sat back and waited for this influx of visitors to my business.
This traffic never arrived and I found myself out of pocket and right back at the beginning. I then decided that it was really time to get to work, so I started to learn about website development and SEO. The basic principle I discovered, was to firstly do some research on appropriate and profitable keywords around which to base the content of each web page. By profitable, I mean words that have a good monthly search volume but relatively few other web pages on the internet containing these words / phrases. Finding and refining this batch of quality keywords quite simply leads to your site being positioned higher on the search engines. Just weeks after publishing my first website, I began to find it by searching Google with the keywords that I used to build the pages in the first place. At first, there was just a trickle of visitors but as I continued to add new content rich, keyword focussed pages, this traffic gradually increased.
My SEO research taught me that another essential tool in website development is building links to your website from other sources. I now use three methods of linking to my site which have dramatically increased my visitor numbers. I submit my site to web directories and social book marking sites on a weekly basis. The method of linking which has given me the most significant increase in traffic, coupled with improved search engine ranking, is article marketing. I write informative articles based on the topic of my online MLM business, which I then submit to a selection of the best article directories on the web. I select what I deem to be the best directories based on their Google page rank and Alex.com traffic ranking. All these articles then contain a link directly back to my website.
There are four major advantages of publishing articles in these top article directories. Firstly, you will receive a certain level of traffic to your business from people who find your article on one of these directories. Secondly, because these sites already receive high traffic numbers, there is a good chance that your articles will be indexed within the search engines that much quicker, providing them with further exposure. Thirdly, a lot of second and third tier directories will take your articles from the mainstream article directories and publish them on their sites as well, giving you further back links to your website. Finally, all these back links will lead to an inevitable jump in your search engine rankings, which will lead to increased traffic numbers as a result.
Now that I have two very well optimized websites, my weekly routine is simple. I religiously write two articles every week and submit them to the top article directories and social book marketing sites. If I had never had that disastrous experience with that so-called SEO firm, I would probably never have learned the skills that are now very much the back bone of my business.
I now have an ever increasing stream of free, organic traffic to my sites on a daily basis which has in turn lead to me having a successful online MLM business.
Whether you decide to follow suit and take the avenue I have gone down, or follow a slightly different course in your online promotion, a few things are essential; make sure you research the promotional method(s) well and become an expert in your field. Give yourself a weekly plan and follow it because in this business consistency and persistency will win the day.
Do not be mistaken though; this is hard work but believe me the effort is worth making if you genuinely wish to build a successful online MLM business.

Myth 3 - You Can Kill Your Dead-Broke Job.
Don’t do this instantly. You need to have some source of income coming in before you get started with an internet business.
You should never quit your job till you are confident that you are making atleast 3 times more money than the salary that you are making right now.
The reason being, you will not only have to meet your daily expenses with your income but you will also have to invest in your internet home based business for your education and training and for developing new systems.
So you will need money. Therefore my advise is to get started working with your internet home base business part time and then once you are confident enough with your internet home business, quit your job.

Creating a list with a building list program is entirely legal if it is an option given to the customer. In other words you can supply a newsletter or promotions via email if the person has agreed to give you their email for that purpose.
If they agree to sign up for emails through your website and you have given them the option of opting out of the email list then you are allowed to send out an email when you are trying to generate the customers for your business. This is what an opt in list means. So with Your Lucky List you are gaining the tools to create you on list.
When you read further on the website they are talking about a program offered to the consumer. The Your Lucky List program is purportedly a dual matrix system. Again it is best to double check that the company is offering your information in the matrix and that the others on the matrix have indeed signed up as you did to promote their business. You want to make sure you are not purchasing an email list that will label you a spammer.
