How to make money with a video Blog

Monday 31 December 2007 @ 8:12 am

by Matt Bacak1
How can you use video in Blogging? Blogging is a huge factor of business success on the Internet. You can use WordPress and Blogger.com. If you don’t like to sit and type then putting videos on your Blog may be your best bet. You can have mini television shows on your Blog. You can get subscribers to come to your Blog periodically to watch your Blog shows. These Blog shows can make you money.

We don’t watch television for commercials. We watch television for information, education, or both. However, the commercials pay the bills for television. The same theory applies to video Blogging. You can attract people to your Blog through your Blog videos. You can advertise your products and services throughout the Blog. For example, you can run commercials in your Blog because people are already used to this in television. This will make you money.

Tip: Humor is a great advertising tool. Use the tried and true principles from television in your videos. Utilize this visual and audio medium that people already like and are comfortable with.

If you embed an audio or video file in your Blog then you are audio podcasting and video podcasting. This strategy is growing like weeds in the Internet marketplace. You can build a subscriber base easily using these strategies. Plus, all of this content can be downloaded to pdas, iPods, and cell phones. Anybody can create an audio podcast and/or a video podcast with inexpensive, easy to use equipment.

Tip: You have to have compelling content in your audio podcasting and video podcasting. People like to be entertained so provide them with compelling content that exceeds their expectations.

Another option is to set up a website that is a continuously running video. You can rotate products. For each product you will have a new “buy” button. It is like having a home shopping network on your own website. This will work in all kinds of niches. You can drive traffic to the website and allow people to check out the videos. It is far cheaper than selling items on the real home shopping network.

There are many strategies out there to make money on the internet but nothing makes sense unless you have a big list. Email Marketing is a the most profitable way to make money on the net. When you build a list of hot and hungry prospects you control your future. Discover how to use the internet and turn your computer into a cash gushing machine. Building A Web Business? Give me a kiss!

Monday 31 December 2007 @ 3:12 am

by "The Mad Webmaster"
Building a web business is a lot like dating. In fact, I can’t think of a better analogy. I’ve had my face slapped so many times trying to get a kiss, I look like the south end of a lobster going north. I should have never listen to that sales guy who said “you’re going to to get your face slapped a lot if you want to get a lot of kisses, because sales like dating is just a numbers game”.

Well that’s bull cookies and I don’t like pain that much. Besides that was probably written by one ugly, foul smelling, toothless, bugger eatin, idiot who couldn’t get a date with Hillary Clinton (or any other ugly woman) if he tried.

Call me old fashioned, but most women I know like to be taken out to dinner, a movie, or dancing. They like to talk. They want you to listen and they like to think of a relationship as a partnership and they wanted to be treated with respect. They want long term stuff, not a “one night stand”. They like good intelligent conversation. They like to feel like they count and that they are the only one that can make you happier than a termite in a wood factory.

If you are real real lucky, you might get a kiss on that first date. If you did your job, you might even be able to hold her hand, but I doubt it. If you have a lick of sense, you won’t do either until she gets to know you and if you are real bright, you’ll tell her that her hair or earrings look nice instead of starring at the neck down.

So how come we expect to sell or get someone to part with their hard earned money on a one page “get the money and run” site? How come we get all upset because we had 300 site visitors today and only one bought?

Did you really think you would score on the first date?

There’s no romance in that!

It’s presumptuous and insulting.

And women don’t think I’ve forgotten about you. Any woman with a lick of sense knows how to get that guy to click to the next page… I mean advertising just enough to make them want more… I mean.. Geez… I’m goin to get in trouble.

Oh well, what do I know… if you like pain, go for it… heck maybe all you want to be with is a street walker tonight.

Until next time…

5 Important Points To Note When Choosing and Purchasing a Domain Name

Monday 31 December 2007 @ 2:12 am

by Tim Ng
Choosing an effective domain name is a crucial first step to setting up an affiliate business. To be taken seriously, you need to purchase a domain name of your own. It is also an important factor when it comes to branding yourself and your online presence that your affiliate business creates. Therefore, it is important that you take note of the 5 important points listed below when you have decided upon an affiliate program to promote as an affiliate business.

1. Avoid “free” domains
Your domain name will be your business’s “address” on the Internet, so it’s important that you choose the right one. That is why you MUST get your own unique name, as opposed to one you can get from a web hosting company that includes their name (eg. /YourWebHost/yoursite). With your own domain name, you can easily move your site to another host while keeping your domain name if you are unhappy with the current host’s range of services.

2. Always register a “.com” name first.
Everyone remembers a “.com” before “.net”. Even most web browswers, if the extension is not entered, will default to “.com”.

3. Consider registering other top-level domains like “.net” and “.org”
No, this is not a contradiction to the previous point. Rather, it’s always a good idea to protect your business and your domain names by registering the less popular top level domains as well.

4. Protect Your Business by Registering Product Names and Plurals
You should also go beyond the basic top level domains and register some variations on your domain as well, including plurals and even misspellings. Now, you may ask why misspellings? Because believe it or now, there are “typo-squatters” out there who make a point of registering misspellings of popular domain names just to scoop up the traffic of people who made an innocent typo error.

5. You can create your own sub-domains
If you cannot find a domain name that has the keywords you want to focus on, there is another solution. You can take advantage of a sub-domain, which is anything that comes before the main domain. Search engines love keyword-rich domains. Well, by using your keywords in your sub-domain, you can have the same effect.

5 Tips on How to Skyrocket Your Top Affiliate Programs

Monday 31 December 2007 @ 2:12 am

by JP
Affiliate programs are one of the most interesting ways that internet marketers go about making money on the web. There are so many different ways that one can go about maintaining and organizing their affiliate programs and the truth is that they will not always be successful. Why is that? The truth is that many people jump into managing affiliate programs without really knowing what they are doing or how to go about organizing things so that they can be successful. It isn’t difficult to find success in affiliate marketing, if you know just what it is that you are doing. If you are having trouble with your top affiliate programs and you need information on how to boost the amount of success you are having with them, you have certainly come to the right place. Here are a few tips on how to skyrocket your affiliate program and ensure that you will see as much success as humanly possible. It is not difficult, either; it is a simple five-step process that can lead you down the path of affiliate program success.

1. Give Them Something They Want…For FREE
Every person out there wants something for free. They don’t care what it is or how useful it is, they just want whatever you have to offer them at a supposed loss to you. For some reason, offering things for ‘free; boosts your credibility and actually makes them want to listen, and this is especially important when it comes to internet marketing. If you want to get their attention, start out by giving them a FREE informational mini-course as related to your affiliate program subject. If your niche is real estate, send out a mini-course on real estate successes and pitfalls and give them something to entice them and make them want more of what you have to offer. While you don’t have to go broke on your free item, you want to make sure that it is something that is going to be of value to your customer; they will know the difference.

2. Create a Capture Page
Creating a capture page goes hand in hand with your free giveaway item. The capture page can be the way that they make themselves entitled to their free giveaway item. You may not think so, but the capture page is how you are going to get all your leads, and if you don’t make the capture page efficient and effective you could be giving away free mini-courses for nothing, not even in exchange for a nice informational lead. Make things easier on yourself and make the capture page and ensure that they have to fill out their info before receiving what you have to offer. This is important, especially for your top affiliate programs. Don’t forget to make it enticing!

3. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise
Internet marketers have grossly underestimated the power of real advertisement. A top affiliate program is much like a regular business and no business has ever been successful without advertisement! If you want to have the best feedback and success, you need to get your information out there. There are many ways to advertise; use your imagination!

4. Build a Relationship and Follow Up With Your Prospects
The next thing you want to do after you have given them something captured their info and sent out advertisements is to build a rapport with your subscription base. You have their information; this means that they are at least halfway interested in what you have to say. Build a relationship with them; send out emails about what is going on with you (business-wise) and what new things you have to offer. Make yourself available and let them know that they can come to you. It is a very important part of any affiliate marketing program; if they don’t trust you at least a little bit there is no way they are giving you a dime.

5. Make Them BUY!
After you have gone through the previous four steps, the only logical thing is to make them buy. You won’t get a sale if you don’t ask for it. Find ways to draw them in and then try to sell them. They may say no at first, but if you are diligent in your search time will prove that your top affiliate programs have skyrocketed their successes through the roof!

eBay Classified Profit & Affiliate Marketing Can do Miracles Together?

Sunday 30 December 2007 @ 5:12 pm

by pha
Of all the methods for making money online, mastering Adwords is without doubt one of the hardest. Adwords can be also expensive, but there are some new ways to make money from affiliate and internet marketing without having to pay too much. I didn’t think that it is possible to make money online with anything else but Adwords. I read the sales page twice and since I’ve never heard of eBay classified ads I decided I’ll give it a try, after all the book has 4 weeks guarantee. I was expecting nothing more than a combination of a lot of nonsense. What followed left me pleasantly surprised.

What is striking from the very start is that the author makes no claims to be a Guru. Instead, he talks about how easily is to get very relevant traffic for much less money than Adwords with eBay’s new feature classified ads.
The book is 46 pages long, divided in to 4 main sections.

The first one explains what an eBay classified ad is and how to set up one. The second part of eBay Classified Profit is all about why eBay classified ads are so great for your business. In this section the author explains how easy is to get unlimited amount of traffic to your site for just $10 by listing an eBay classified ad. Anybody who has done PPC knows how much traffic you can get for $10 especially if you are doing affiliate marketing. Well that is not the case because the great thing about eBay classified ads is that you are allowed to have a link to an external web site.

The third section is where all the magic happens. This one teaches you how to set up the perfect eBay classified ad. The author explains everything in such a great detail that the process is almost narrowed down to copy and paste steps. He also teaches you where to look if you have no idea for a product.

The fourth section deals with affiliate marketing when it comes to Click Bank and internet marketers that are looking for cheaper ways than Adwords to promote Click Bank products. The author goes out of his way and shows you how you can find Click Bank products that are making other affiliates money for free.

Progressing through the book, you feel that your knowledge of eBay classified ads is quickly improving and you begin to realize that this is new untapped opportunity that is way cheaper than pay-per-click advertising and in some cases even more profitable. As you read every now and then, you come across one of those light bulb moments that stop’s you in your tracks.

The author’s knowledge is extensive, he doesn’t take the easy route and simply copy a Guru, he explains in detail what works and what doesn’t.
Towards the end of the book you are introduced to real life examples. In fact, there are a number of references to ads the author did. This will make the complete novice sit up and wonder, “Can you really make money that easily?” You bet!

The Bottom Line
eBay Classified Profit is a breath of fresh air. It is one of kind book if not the only one on the topic. The techniques are new and unknown to 99% of the affiliates out there. If you take action and get a copy of the book before the competition does, chances are you are going to cash in big.

The book is so detailed that it’s impossible to cover it in detail in such a short space of time. It doesn’t matter if you are new to Internet Marketing or all ready have an established business online, eBay Classified Profit offers the opportunity to increase your income — almost instantly.

eBay Classified Profit has made a substantial difference to my internet business. If you too would like the chance to take your online activities to the next level, grab your copy of eBay Classified Profit - before your competition does. SEO - Search Engine Optimization and Marketing Analyst

Sunday 30 December 2007 @ 5:12 pm

by Brain
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (”organic” or “algorithmic”) search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

If the content is search engine friendly, there is every possibility that the content gets indexed in the SERP (Search Engine Return Page) in the high page ranking. In doing so, a content writer needs to be an SEO analyst and he must know the requirement of the readers and must possess some amount of the knowledge in the search engine.

SEO writing is not merely inserting several disjointed, thesaurus-sounding keywords into the copy, for the sake of the rank high in search engines. Content overstuffed with keywords will not help in this regard. The planning stage for search engine copywriting requires the consideration of the density of keywords in the content. Heavy keyword stuffing is not a good attempt. The search will see this as some kind of deliberate action to fit the keywords into the content, and it is called spamming; that way there might have been a possibility of being banned by the search engines. Therefore, one has to be very much careful about search engine copywriting.

SEO copywriting is not that much difficult but just a little bit complicated. Following some tips, one can easily attain the professional expertise to write content keeping in mind the elite SEO rules.

Basic Rules for copywriting for search engine optimization and marketing:

Keyword Info

To begin with, it is advisable to have the knowledge of the keywords optimized for. Once you start writing the content, please remember to include the keywords therein. It is better, to have the keyword info beforehand and then just complete the content, and depending on the circumstances, just fit the keywords in the content. Focusing your copy on only two or three primary keywords or keyword phrases will help a lot to get the best the best result.

Target Audience

It is also very much required to have a proper info about the website for which you are writing the copy. The information first prompts you to have a sound knowledge about the target audience. That reduces your toil largely.

Text Length

Generally, 250-500 words article is better in the web site. The search engine can read it properly. Make sure to have the keywords fitted in the first two to three paragraphs as the search engine spider does not go deep into your content. This way you can help the search engine finding the relevant keywords. Try avoiding the images as much as possible, as the search cannot track the images. If, however, there is a necessity, you can use the Alt texts on the images.

Using CSS

It is a good practice to use the CSS or Cascading Style Sheet as it allows you to tell a browser how to present your page. CSS approach separates the presentation style of the documents from the content, hence simplifies site maintenance. One can easily maintain the visual appeal of the text in headings through CSS.

The importance of Search Engine Copywriting

We take your lead, perform further research, and present a Search Engine Optimization strategy that best integrates Best Practices SEO and your company’s unique needs.

Content is King! This is a major part of any SEO Strategy. Remember that the whole internet is based on words, so having the right words in the right place is crucial.

SEO - Sitemap For Search Engine Optimization

Sunday 30 December 2007 @ 5:12 pm

by Brain
What is Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimization is the process of enhancing the visibility of a website on search engine listings. It refers to a list of marketing tools required to arrange a website in order to increase its rankings in the context of the result of pages of search engines and directories.

There are two main types of factors in search engine optimization:

1. On page Optimization
2. Off Page Optimization

I was working in the field of search engine optimization from last three years, when I started optimizing sites there was not so many terms related with it. In my very first day at office my seniors taught me that doing optimization is getting back links for website. Back links with proper anchor text. At the end of the day I was satisfied that generating back links are only some thing which can optimize a website.

After completing three years in this field now I am well aware that only back links are not at all optimization of the websites. Now there are so many people who use to learn the techniques of search engine optimization from me. I guide them about both the ON page and OFF page factors of search engine optimization.

In ON page factor, there are something’s which is related to your own website and in OFF page factor, there are something’s which is related to the websites which are not yours. In ON page we use to do Meta Tag Optimization, proper content for the website, Alt tag optimization for the website, proper navigation for the website and much more activities through which we do changes in the websites. In OFF page factor we create back links for our website.

Sitemap is something which came in existence a few year’s back. People thought it’s a tool through which they can optimize their websites. In fact sitemap is an easy tool through which a site owner can inform search engines about the pages of their websites. Through sitemap people can create an index of the pages of their websites which are required for crawling by search engines. A sitemap can be created in XML format. This page will list the pages of the websites along with some Meta data for each of the URL’s which is listed in sitemap. These data can contain Change frequency, Last modification Time, and the priority of the page. Due to all these data, search engines can crawl more intelligently.

Sitemap is useful just because it contains all the information regarding all the pages of the websites at a single page. Hence, search engines can gather all the information regarding the website from a single page and due to this they crawl each page of the websites regularly.

Benefits of On Page Search Engine Optimization:

When creating or updating a commercial website it should be taken into consideration that the products are made more attractive for the viewers. At the same time it must be taken into account that the ability o gain more exposure with a broader target audience has its own benefits. Most websites need to reach out to a larger target audience in order to enhance their business. On Page Optimization allows a higher page ranking and based on a specific keyword or phrases they enter. This process identifies those keywords that will benefit a particular website and uses them in such a way that it gets a higher page ranking when those keywords are searched.

Most searchers only use first page displayed websites on their searches because this is where the pages with higher page rankings are displayed, which translates into these pages find the highest relevance to their keyword searches. This makes it even more vital that each website comprehends the significance and the knowledge necessary to adapt their websites to benefit from Search Engine Optimization.

Google advises against using more than 100 links on a page, many SEO advise no more than 50, and against having pages of more than 100 Kbytes in length. It seems that Google will index more than 100 links but it may take repeated visits to the page. Some search engines may not spider to the end of a long page. This poses a problem for large sites. First of all the site map should be more than just a series of links. Use headings (H1, H2, H3 etc.) to divide the links into themed areas and use your topic keywords in those headings. If your site is well structured this will probably follow the existing themes. If the map grows too large place topic areas into separate sub-site maps. This increases the depth of the site map so more important links should be on the main map but it is better to add depth to the sitemap than risk search engines giving up due to the quantity of links.

3 Easy Steps To A Mega Successful Internet Product Launch

Sunday 30 December 2007 @ 5:12 pm

by Fabian Tan
One of the most powerful ways to online success is by having a mega profitable product launch. Almost every business, non service based, needs a product. So how do you launch a product successfully? Here’s a proven step-by-step system for launching products:

1. Gather a “team” of joint venture partners

Network with other business people in your niche and ask them to promote your product for a cut of the profits. This is beneficial for you because it’s all free promotion for your products. Essentially, it’s almost like free money!

2. Create a pre-launch buzz

Create excitement and desire for your product before launch day. You can do this by offering free gifts and reports before the day of launch to act as teasers. Another good way to do this is by placing a timer on your page, that is ticking down to the date of the launch.

3. Email your partners to remind them to promote

It’s best to get your joint venture partners on to a mailing list so you can email them and remind them to promote. You should send at least 3 emails! A pre-launch email telling them to get ready for the promotion, a launch day email reminding them to promote, and a post-launch email informing of joint venture contest updates, and reminding them to follow-up with their leads.

That’s it; that’s the big picture view of how to launch a product successfully on the Internet. You can’t do a product launch by your own, especially if you are just starting out, since you won’t have any resources (leads, contacts etc) to tap on. You must create a network of partners to promote your product for a sales stampede…

The REAL Truth About Getting Your Site Ranked Well On Google!

Sunday 30 December 2007 @ 5:12 pm

by Fabian Tan
Ever wanted to get your site to the top of the Google search engine?

Along the way, you might have received lots of contradictory information on how to rank well on Google. Ranking well on Google is not based on some scientific formula, but rather a result of following a few proven principles consistently.

Number Of Quality Backlinks

Yahoo and MSN search engines appear to rank websites based on how many backlinks your website has. However, Google ranks websites by the number of quality backlinks you have. You should get more backlinks from high PageRank (the algorithm Google uses to measure the importance of a web page) websites, rather than have a lot of links from low PageRank sites.

Your Anchor Text Matters

What your backlinks “say” also matter. For example, if you want to rank well for the keyword phrase “golf club”, then all the links pointing back to your site should include these two words in them.

One-Time “Burst” Of Links Can Work!

Contrary to popular belief, unleashing a sudden surge of backlinks and then stopping your linking activities for a few months won’t affect your search engine rankings. I can personally testify to this. I created a new site many months ago, got a ton of backlinks over a few days, and literally left the site to its own devices. It got to a Top 5 spot for a highly competitive keyword in a matter of weeks, and has stayed there ever since.

Duplicate Content Isn’t A Major Issue

Duplicate content isn’t as big an issue as thought to be. If it was, major news syndication sites would be in the doldrums in the search engines! But they aren’t. Just don’t spend too much effort trying to modify your content when you post it on different sites, as it might not really make too much of a difference.
