This Ol’ Broad Says Site Rubix Not for Everyone

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by Honey Wesley
It’s a bold statement to make in light of all that’s being said, but the truth is Site Rubix may not be for everybody. It’s really been designed especially for people who NEVER EVER want to see HTML code. If you’re one of those young’uns who cut your teeth on a computer keyboard and think playing with code is more fun than counting money, then Site Rubix may be a real disappointment to you. If, on the other hand, you’re more like this ol’ broad who needs all the help she can get with website building, by all means, read on.

Two young millionaire programmers, whom I’ve come to trust, spent a whole year and over $100,000 to plan and develop this website builder. Its purpose is to make the building of professional quality websites a reality for even the most technically challenged entrepreneur. That’s great news for most of us baby-boomers and good news even for some of you younger folks. Site Rubix was designed to be the best website builder for beginners.

They’ve made it stupid simple and affordable enough that it won’t destroy your budget. But they also made it so that you never have to deal with web code…at all…ever. So if that’s your passion, you may not appreciate the ease and simplicity of building websites with Site Rubix.

I’ll share a secret with you, dreamer. I don’t fall for the hype and buzz that usually precedes a new product launch. It might make a more effective article if I told you some sob story about how much money I’d spent trying this product or that product and how they didn’t work. But the truth is this ol’ broad’s smarter than most internet marketers give me credit for and I’ve been very selective about the purchases I’ve made and even more selective about the ones I recommend. And I can say with conviction if you’re frustrated with trying to create quality websites, you need to at least take a look at Site Rubix. It’s the best website builder for beginners.

I’ll tell you another secret. Even if you’re a whiz-bang coder, you may want to take a close look at Site Rubix simply for the speed at which you can create fabulous websites. I mean, c’mon, can you ever be too rich, too thin, or have too many websites?

If you could create 5 websites in less time than it takes to watch a Simpsons episode, (and don’t even pretend that you don’t) how many would you build in a month? 20? 50? What if you only did that for, say, 3 months in a row? How much income do you think could be generated from 60-150 websites?

Think about it, dreamer. Then take some action to make it happen.

This ol’ broad has been around long enough to learn a thing or two about a thing or two. When you’re ready to say I’m Tired of Dreaming about Success, she’ll be happy to share the things she knows will help you achieve it.

Email Marketing: The Key Ingredients to prepare a delicious campaign curry

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by Hari Qumar
To enjoy a delicious campaign curry, you need to put ingredients such that the final curry tastes good. You need to take utmost care, not to miss out on any of the ingredients, lest the curry will not taste good.

To start with, let me first tell you about email marketing.

Email marketing is a form of direct marketing which uses electronic mail as a means of Communicating commercial or promotional messages to an audience. It is a collection of related ads or offers. Email marketing is the practice of sending sales letters or customer newsletters by email. Email communications are often more effective than printed direct mail, because a reader can click on a link and go straight to the website the sender wants you to go.

In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing. This method of direct marketing is less costly as compared to other media investments like Newspaper ads, TV Ads. Email Marketing is more than just sending bulk emails, newsletters, or auto responders, and then keeping your fingers crossed. Rather, effective email marketing campaigns involve a targeted developmental process and intelligent email list management - smart marketing that works for you.

Email Marketing campaigns are nothing but, promoting yourself and your products in the market through emails to your existing or potential clients to gain recognition of your product.

Let us now know about the ingredients for preparing an email campaign.

Ingredient1:

Campaign: What is a campaign? A campaign contains a collection of one or more ad groups, which have the same budget, schedule, and geo-targeting criteria. Campaigns are typically created to achieve a specific marketing goal. To send email content to a group of email addresses is called an email campaign. An email campaign typically consists of Email Content, Email Addresses, Subject Line, Test Emails, From and Reply To address etc.(e.g. a new product launch campaign, or a campaign that targets customers in a specific geographic location).

An email campaign can be a normal campaign, a split campaign or even a recurring campaign.
Split Campaign: A campaign can be split based on specific criteria like list, content, subject line and other factors.

Recurring Campaign: A campaign which is sent again and again at specific interval set to email address. This could be based on certain criteria’s if required.

Ingredient2:

Opted Format: What types of formats does a email campaign go to the client? The Opted format could be in HTML, Text or AOL formats. The format is opted by user in the Campaign Request Form (CRF).

Ingredient3:

Campaign Calendar: It is a calendar wherein you have the current and the upcoming list of campaigns.

Ingredient4:

Campaign Request Form (CRF): The CRF contains the campaign name, campaign subject line, the campaign number, the client name, his email ID, the opted format, the TAT of the campaign(or the Deployment date. of the final campaign), the test list & the final list it has to be sent & any specific conditions mentioned by the client.

Ingredient5:

Friendly From Address: It is the Friendly Form of from Address (email address) used to send an email, displayed when recipient receives email (eg.Begonia). It is the name displayed before the actual email address while sending an email.

Ingredient6:

Friendly Reply to Address: It is the Friendly Form of from Address (email address) used to receive an email, displayed when recipient replies email (eg.seoindiaonline). It is the name displayed before the actual email address while replying an email.

Note: It is possible that the Friendly from Address and Friendly Reply to Address can be the same.

Ingredient7:

Formal From Address: It is the Email address, from where the actual email is originated (e.g. info@begoniainfosys.com).

Ingredient8:

Formal Reply to Address: It is the Email address, where the recipients send an email in reply (e.g. info@ebizinternetmarketing.com).

Ingredient9:

Subject Line: It is the Subject of an email displayed in email box, which normally indicates the content of email.

Ingredient10:

Turn Around Time (TAT): The TAT or the deployment date when the campaign has to be sent or deployed to the final email list.

Now, your delicious campaign curry is ready with all the ingredients to be served to the customer. But, it needs to be tested for deliverability.

Deliverability: It is the probability of emails delivered in INBOX of email recipients. This includes the Browser test and the domain test before deploying the campaign.

Now the email campaign is ready for deployment (to be served) to the customer (i.e.) Make the reports that need to be prepared for the client.

The report contains the Scheduled count of emails deployed, the Delivered count of emails(actually delivered), their percentage, the total number of clicks & opens, the Unique Clicks, the Unique Opens, their percentage, The Deliverability percentage, the track opens and track clicks, what is the number of Global Unsubs or Department unsubs, the number of Opt-ins and Opt-Out.

So, take care not to miss out on the key ingredients for preparing a delicious campaign curry.

What is Complete Link Building

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by Rishi1 Modi
If you have ever wondered what the difference between link building and complete link building is then read on. To understand the difference between link building and complete link building, one must first gauge the concept of link building. A few years back, all it took to carry out link building was to get as many incoming links to a website as possible, the quality and nature of the links were inconsequential. However, with time search engines have started implementing a concept known as link relevance. Link relevance not only takes into account the quality of the link to a website but also the relevance of the incoming link.

What has further complicated the process of link building is that search engines are working to eliminate paid links from websites. This means even if a website is related to another, if the incoming link is paid for, search engines will no longer recognize the link. There has been considerable criticism of the paid links algorithm, but the truth is that search engine like Google are already working to eliminate paid links. Now that you have grasped the concept of how incoming links work, you can now appreciate the concept of complete link building.
Complete link building involves generating links to a website from a variety of sources. One of the oldest and still the most popular methods of generating incoming links is registering a site with directories. Since directories are designed to promote links, search engines do not penalise a directory for accepting money to display a link to a website. In addition, directories are also one of the most comprehensive ways of generating incoming links. A quick glance at any SEO firm’s website will reveal that SEO firms offer comprehensive directory based link building solutions.
Apart from directories, complete link building solutions also use social networking sites to generate links. Social networking sites and blogs are a great way to generate incoming links. For example, a blog post discussing high speed internet connections can cite a popular service provider’s site as an example. Similarly, a community of chocolate lovers can also point to a website that sells chocolates online. It requires considerable skill to utilise blogs and social networking sites for generating incoming links and this makes it a highly sought after service.
Apart from directories and social networking sites, another method of generating incoming links is utilising article sites. Most article sites disallow direct links, but they allow links to be placed in the resource box at the end of each article. Using articles to generate links is a highly skilled service, and the links generated are permanent and ‘deep’. Unlike directories and blogs where there is a rare possibility of links being deleted, article sites rarely delete their articles and articles thus provide permanent incoming links. In essence, complete link building is a concept that utilises more than just directories to generate incoming links, compared to traditional link building solutions; complete link building is a more “out of the box” approach to link building.

Authority Links Are the Important Ones

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by Bruce Swedal
We all know back links are a big factor in ranking higher in search engines. It used to be simple to get links by submitting to every directory and your rankings would climb. It is quickly becoming more difficult to move up in search rankings. Directories are still important, but it is becoming more important to be discriminating when evaluating which ones to submit to. You need to be selective and in some cases willing to pay review fees.

The first source for an authority link is DMOZ. It is a free directory, but most that submit there do not get accepted. DMOZ is very strict on evaluating websites for submissions. They look for established sites with unique content and completely unique offerings when there are millions of competing websites is difficult to accomplish. Submit here and forget about it. It will be months before your site is evaluated and they will not inform you when it is.

The next best source for authority links would be a few web directories with authority. There are a few in this category that I would recommend. Those being JoeAnt, AuthorityDirectory, Abilogic and dir.yahoo. Quality paid directories such as these are wonderful resources, because they are kept updated, well categorized and promoted. The fees incurred are for the time involved in reviewing your site for admission. They can keep the spam out because with quality directories there is no guarantee of admission. So follow the guidelines when submitting.

I have always thought that one of the best place to look for links are by searching for the sites that link to your competition. If these hub sites are willing to link to your competitor, they are more than likely willing to link to you. It is a good idea to try getting links from these resources that have shown the willingness to link to sites like yours in the past.

The next place to look for authority links may be from authority blog sites. These can be a great source of excellent links. It can also backfire on you so be careful. Authority blog sites get a great deal of traffic so if you make comments that are considered off topic or spam just to get a link, many visitors will see it. This could get you a bad reputation and hurt your credibility, especially if the blog covers a related topic. Do not spam authority blogs and keep comments on topic.

Perhaps the last quality place to look for authority links would be school or government sites. Getting a link from these sources is not an easy task and generally requires that you know a friend or relative working there. Other ways to get these links are by offering a freebie to them in return, by volunteering as a speaker or making a donation.

If you try some of the tips outlined here you are assured of getting at least one authority link to your website which will help your website rank higher in the search engine results. Some of the tips are definitely more difficult than others so reflect on this. Are you a webmaster that gives up easily or one that will work to get your website ranked higher?

Your website will not just magically appear number one in the search engines overnight. You need to put in the work to get it there though a comprehensive link building campaign which should start at the Authority Web Directory. Plus, check for additional resources amongst our listings in the Authority Shopping Directory section.

Email Marketing- Some Ideas To Get Your Email Marketing Going

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by
Using your skills at writing can be very effective and profitable when using email marketing. Email marketing is a vital form of marketing that has been proven effective and uses email to relay messages to your customers and prospects. This form of marketing will allow your to send announcements, updates, and follow-up messages that all go towards creating a professional and meaningful relationship.

In order to make email marketing as profitable as it can be, here are some ideas to consider:

Bring more life to your emails by sending them in newsletter form. Emails containing only text can be boring to your customers even if the content is not. Maintain the target customer’s interest by presenting your content in elegant, colorful, easy-to-read, yet professional formats. When choosing and creating the design for your emails, try to have a good balance between professionalism and art.

Use an auto-responder. Using this tool will greatly lessen your effort in tracking your email’s status because it automates everything for you. Saving time and effort is important, but it will also prevent you from accidentally forgetting to send emails. Auto-responders are even more effective and useful when your subscription list begins to grow.

Include a subscription box on your website. Once you have created the perfect newsletter, getting subscribers is your next goal. A convenient way for customers to subscribe to your newsletter is through a one-step subscription box. This will give you an easy way to collect willingly given information from your customers. You can also create a website used only for collecting subscribers if you wish.

Always send follow-up messages. Failing to hold on to a current or potential subscriber is a missed opportunity for profit. Keeping your audience up to date about the current status of the website will keep them interested. By mailing out these updates, the chance of people forgetting about your website is greatly reduced. You need to stick to a schedule of communication with your customers to maintain the relationship.

Beating AdWords - Simple Tips For How To Make AdWords Profitable

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by Trevor John
Google AdWords. They make it seem so easy - just follow the sign up process and your ads will be displayed all over the internet.

For a price!

That price is your bank balance unless you know the best ways of beating AdWords and making it work for you, rather than the other way around.

Follow these simple tips to help make your AdWords campaign profitable.

Bid lower for the content network. When you first sign up, Google tick all the boxes for you, including the “content network”. These are the sites where smaller publishers display Google AdWords adverts and Google share the advertising revenue. They deliver traffic, sure, but they’re not always as high quality as the main Google search engine. So you need to tick the box that Google left unticked that will allow you to bid lower for content network ads. Play with the figure but between 10% and 20% of your regular bid price seems to work well for most people.

Put square brackets round your keywords. So instead of your keyword being:

beating AdWords

it becomes:

[beating AdWords]

That way your advert will only be shown when someone searches for your exact phrases. Your ads won’t be shown as often but that’s fine as you’ll know that when they do show, people are looking for exactly what you’re selling. Otherwise your ads could be shown for phrases like “beating AdWords free”, where you’re unlikely to make any money if someone clicks.

Capture people’s email address when they click. Devise a landing page (that meets Google’s new standards) and offer a free gift in exchange for your potential customer’s email address. Then you can keep in touch with them over the coming weeks and months and stand a much higher chance of getting them to spend money with you.

Things To Remember When Having A Website Designed

Sunday 30 September 2007 @ 5:09 pm

by Natalia Sloan
Getting a website designed and launched is a great way to promote your business on the internet but there are a few things you will want to be aware of before you run right out and pick the first website designer you run across to do the work. You will want a high quality website that showcases your business venture in its most positive light, as you will be in competition with other businesses on the net.

For this reason you will want to be able to see previous work that your website designer has done. If possible you will also want to talk with one or more of their previous clients as well. To avoid getting ripped off it is recommended that you go with a more established website designer that has a good track record already established.

Make sure that they have already done websites for people that are in the same business that you are in and ask if you can take a look at these websites. Don’t hand them the entire fee up front, because any reputable website designer will only ask for their payment in two or three installments.

Don’t look for the cheapest one, because if you do that you may be stuck with end results that you are less than satisfied with, so try to balance the price you pay with the quality that you will accept. Remember that your website will represent you on the internet and potential clients or customers are going to judge you by your website, so you will want to have the best website possible. Make it clear with the website designer that you want to see some of the design work as it progresses or you may get an unwelcome surprise when you finally see the finished product.
