Internet Marketing: Good Guy Marketing

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 5:05 pm

by Scott Lindsay -
In times past when an expert had something to say they made themselves available to magazines, newspapers, radio and television to spread some of their knowledge to the masses. In the 21st Century this dynamic has changed.

Today experts are often found posting in the form of personal or business blogs, social networks or message boards.

These same individuals will likely produce articles of their own and make them freely available on the web.

It would seem that mentoring has found a new way to express itself. Experts seem eager to pass along information. If you’ve ever wondered what benefit there is to these experts this article will seek to explain how helping others can have a profound effect on personal success.

“Good Guy” Marketing

The primary benefit for experts is that whenever they post on a blog or forum they can place a link to their business website in the signature line of the post. This signature remains in place for site visitors, but it is also picked up as a backlink by search engines.

By helping others develop their knowledge on an issue you can also provide another series of backlinks to your website.

I suppose this may sound like a selfish motivation, but if you look historically at business it has always been driven by seeking to help consumers understand how to use your product and help them understand why your product is superior to others. This is the premise of “Good Guy” marketing.

This idea isn’t all that different from the interviews for print publication of yesteryear except that the end result can be global instead of regional or national in scope. In times past an article would include a byline on the individual being interviewed and it would typically result in interest by others in the work or product they were involved in.

Today, that process is altered in that the expert can develop information when they want and make it available to free article directories without the need for a willing publication. In many ways this scenario is much more beneficial to both informed consumers as well as the ‘Good Guy” marketer.

Business as Usual

The good thing about this Internet marketing strategy is that it can be done without a significant amount of fanfare. You can simply respond to posts, create your own posts or develop articles because it serves a valued purpose. The tag line information can be set to come up automatically. In essence marketing is taking place in an arena where you are simply sharing your knowledge with those who are most interested. This could well be one of the best forms of marketing available.

Opt-in And Email Marketing Basics

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 5:05 pm

by Tony Gregson -
Opt-in E-mail marketing is when people willingly subscribe to have newsletters, reports or other online services sent to their E-mail address. This is an efficient way to promote your business, and the main rule is; the more opt-in marketing mails you submit, the better are your chances to sell and increase revenues significant.

Many think that building a Opt-in marketing list is time consuming and hard work. In fact it only requires a bit of patience and strategic planning. Setting up a mailing list system may require some technical skills, but in most cases software suppliers do this for a decent price. Another solution is to purchase a online mailing list service and you are ready to get started in minutes.

Internet provides a variety of sources and articles on how to build an Opt-in list. Sometimes these methods appear quite confusing because of the various solutions. One of the Opt-in basics is that different groups of people require a different approach.

Here are some more E-mail marketing and opt-in basics;

Make your website useful and easy to navigate through. Invest in a convincing web design, make the graphics delicate, publish articles and well written sales letter without over doing it. Let a professional content provider help you write articles and sales pitches if you don’t have the grip of it.

Place a sign up form directly below your content. Tell your visitors to subscribe for updates, new releases, a gift, free reports etc. When a website visitor finds something he or she likes, make it easy for them to sign up to your E-mail list right there.

Deliver services and products as promised. Returning customers will make your business very profitable. A satisfied customer recommends your services to others, and save you for expensive advertising. E-mail marketing is very cost effective once you have build up your Opt-in mailing list.

Offer a money back guarantee. If a customer for some reason isn’t satisfied, live up to your guarantee. Return the money without hassle and welcome the customer back to do business with you later. Customer service is a crucial for your online success.

Keep the Opt in list private, never share or sell your list and lose the customers trust. Letting others use your Opt-in list for spamming will put you out of business pretty soon. Building a good reputation takes time, tearing it down is done over night.

Still not sure you are ready to go for Opt-in marketing on your website? For the time being E-mail marketing is the most responsive way to promote and sell on the Internet. Meaning, E-mail marketing can be the big difference for your business.

Getting Your Site Indexed Twice As Fast!

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 5:05 pm

by Seth Willis Jr. -
We noticed that some people are having a harder time getting indexed than they did before. But thankfully there is still a way to get indexed quickly!

One thing we noticed works really well, and we are starting to do it on all our web sites, is putting a blog as the main index page.

Why does this work so well? Probably because the search engines notice you updated your web site every time you add content to the blog.

When the blog is in a sub folder, the search engines might not see it every time they visit.

Especially when your site is brand new, it doesn’t get all its pages spidered right away. But the index page gets spidered practically every time a bot visits.

If a search engine notices your web site is being updated frequently, it is more likely to be indexed. It will also be indexed deeper (meaning more pages will be indexed) and the pages will rank higher in the search results!

How do you put a blog as the index page?

It’s actually quite simple. Normally when you install a blog (WordPress for example) you put all the files into a new folder. To have the blog as the main page, you just upload all the files in the root directory.

For example, in one of our videos we showed you how to install WordPress. We put all the files into a folder called “blog”. If we wanted the blog to be the index page, we wouldn’t have even created a new folder at all.

You could also change the WordPress template so it looks like the rest of your site. This way it doesn’t look like there is a blog on the front page. This can be a little tricky to do so we’re working on a video that shows you how to do that.

And remember… you still need to post messages to your blog frequently in order to get your site indexed faster. But even posting as little as once a day has a huge impact on how fast it happens!

IM…Has IT Become An Oversurfed, Big Breaker, Crusher Wave of Futile Financial Aspirations?

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 5:05 pm

by Thomas Spratt
When you first decide to get your feet wet in the IM pool, your first endeavor might be to develop a pedestrian info based product to sell to supposedly ready buyers. This is a very common goal for newbies, and it well illustrates the ‘me too’ syndrome among most people entering this dynamic field today. So are there any ‘vacancy signs’ still lit, at the old IM Inn, these days?

Is it true that the Internet marketing niche is already too saturated? Yes, it is well populated, that is almost an absolute given. However, if you can create a unique slant on an old idea, then you can definitely prosper, just as well as the others who dropped anchor in this niche harbor years ago.

The cyber world is in a constant state of flux, and there is always room inside it’s spacious harbor for new and more creative niche approaches to florish and suceed.

You may also want to consider staying away from the Internet marketing niche and paving a path in another niche, such as dog care, parenting, or financial advice. So long as there is interest and decent traffic existing at any one niche market, it is quite capable too of becoming ‘packaged profits’ for your new venture. with the right marketing.

What often happens is that the newbie ‘net’ marketer has a specialty in an area outside of Internet marketing, and once the launch a highly successful information product on it, they write a “tell-all” eBook showing other Internet marketers how to do what they did.

When you look at the vibrant dynamics today, there is little chance that a niche will become fully saturated for very long, if ever. As long as there is continued interest, there’s always a way to come up with a new slant for an old idea. Print publications do this all the time. When you hear of a writer that produces an article for a magazine to publish, he must first sell the editor on the concept that he is providing a new and different slant to an old issue, one that may have been covered many times, already in his media outlet.

Many Internet marketers routinely try to convince others that their niche is, indeed saturated. Why would they do this? It could be they are worried you may produce unwanted competition for them or, others may get the very same uncomfortable idea.

To determine if a niche is truly saturated, or better yet, if you have a shot at success, visit third party product sites such as ClickBank and see how many products are available for the similar idea you have as an Internet marketer. If you find several products already there, that is not automatically a bad sign Activity in a niche sector can be a positive sign. In fact, it may mean that there exists an increasing market dynamic, that you can possibly serve even better.

If you see ten different eBooks on affiliate marketing, ask yourself, “Could I come up with a unique slant or a better way of doing things?” Sometimes all it takes is having verifiable proof of your own success to position you as an expert in a particular niche. It can’t hurt to give it a real try. Surprise of it all is, that the market just might be waiting to pounce on a fresh idea or concept that has been overlooked by those too long, or too close. to the action. Consumers may really want a different twist on an old product or service and are open to a new marketer bringing it to them, forthwith.

Internet Paid Surveys Interesting Newsflash

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 4:05 pm

by Davion W
Internet paid survets are nothing new really. Doing internet paid surveys online during your free time is really an easy way to bring some extra cash home or for your personal needs. Doing surveys is not boring all the time. Internet paid surveys can be interesting. This is perhaps why many people including the young and active are using them to make some cash for holidays and a simple getaway or to buy their latest toy.

Do you know what internet paid surveys are?

Internet paid surveys are forms that once completed pay you. The difference between this and conventional surveys, they are paperless and are done online through e-Forms. Each time you complete a survey, you get paid by the internet survey company which are usually market survey companies hired by consumer companies interested in gathering some information about their market and customers. Depending on how many questions there are in the survey, they would pay you more than $50 at times. Good paying surveys usually centre on expensive products like cars, insurance, etc.

Internet paid surveys are not “Get Rich Quick Schemes” or scams as people would have thought it to be. Recently, there has been some bad press as a result of unrealistic income claims by unscrupulous folks. Some are proclaiming huge earnings in the range of thousands for a few hours of work a week. This is absolutely absurd! Though internet paid surveys is a good passive income source, it is unlikely that anyone can make so much for so little effort. But with a few hours a week, earning a few hundred to a thousand dollars is achievable.

There are always concerns that there are no enough surveys for everyone. It is hardly a possibility. As long as there are products in the market, surveys are required to understand the market. Old ways of conducting market research on the streets are outdated and slow. Internet paid surveys are popular among market research companies and the number of surveys available is expected to increase and not drop. Anyone considering paid surveys as an income stream need not worry too much. The possibility of running out of internet paid surveys hardly exists.

Once the internet paid surveys are published, they will be there for a few days. But very often, it becomes unavailable within a day. Reason is they only require limited number of participants. Act as soon as you can. Fastest fingers get the deal. Be on alert for incoming notification emails.

Other than the normal paid surveys, you may be exposed to other kinds of surveys like focus groups, mystery shopper, etc. Why not play and work at the same time?

It is pretty easy to bring home hundreds of dollars. But to earn a substantial income sufficient to replace your day job, you need to do more by participating in more surveys and of course spend more hours at that. The flexibility is there for you to work around your time but the key is to be a registered member with as many companies offering internet paid surveys.

Drop by at my survey blog and get hold of a list of reputable survey companies that pay well for internet paid surveys.

Affiliate Marketing: Information On Affiliate Teleconferencing (Part 2 of 2)

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 3:05 pm

by Zack Lim
Then at a suitable time during the teleconference, the affiliate will present to the customers a new product on how to lose weight through dieting. He will gives out the url that the customer can go to.

Once the customers are at the website, there will be more pre sell materials that will presell the product and finally his affiliate link to the product. This will be a very effective method if you really give good content during the teleconference. The customer will think that you must be someone that knows the topic very well. They will be more open to the idea of buying products through you.

If you have a interview with the expert, you can even record the teleconference and have a transcript for the teleconference. You will sell both of the things as your own products or you can even offer it as a bonus if the customer buys through your affiliate link.

Not many affiliates are using this method to do affiliate marketing business because of the fear of talking live to maybe a few hundreds people. But if you do not have this fear, it can be a very effective and powerful way for you to presell your product.

Firstly, the customer will already be in the buying mood if the customer really likes the content that you are providing. The next step is to send them to your affiliate link. Although this method is very useful, do make sure that you give good and quality content otherwise your credibility will goes down the drain if you gives them rubbish content.

Web Design: Be An Architect

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 3:05 pm

by Scott Lindsay -
Architecture is a word often used to describe the execution of knowledge-based content in web design. ‘Architecture’ is actually a very good term to use because when you work at developing content for your ecommerce site you can either throw it together in a haphazard way or you be very deliberate about how you ‘construct’ your knowledge-based web pages.

A Common Mistake

One of the mistakes that seems to be repeated most often is thinking your web pages need to function in much the same way as an ebook. In this scenario the web pages are difficult for casual viewers to use because there is so much information. Instead of a few hundred words, these pages include content that well exceeds 2,000 words. The reason this is a mistake is that the casual reader is looking for quick bites of information they can scan to determine its usefulness.

The eyes of your site visitors act as a racecar driver looking for signs that lead them to the racetrack. If your visitor doesn’t find what they are looking for they will take the exit ramp.

How to manage significant content

The management of site content should be thought of as a block of cheese for a party. No one is very interested in the cheese block by itself, but when it is cut up into bit-sized nuggets the cheese begins to disappear.

This is the best picture of the knowledge content of your website. The content as a whole presents a strong case for your online company, but it is less likely that site visitors will do much content consuming. When you can break your content into smaller identifiable chunks that can be consumed in the order of interest and over multiple sittings if needed the more likely the consumer is to ‘consume’.

You can provide architecture for web design that allows your content to flow from one subject to a complimentary subject with easy navigational links. This systematic approach to passing along information to sample and explore is a very positive way to move your site from ‘little used’ to ‘highly valued’.

Conclusion

Knowledge-based content has become a key component to both web design as well as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). A comprehensive, yet segmented, knowledge-based article warehouse can be a strong support for your website. If you are selling a product that is defined in the article you can, and should, provide internal links to allow the consumer to go directly to your ecommerce store for purchase if they so chose. Make it easy for your customers to take information and use it to facilitate a purchase.

Internet Paid Surveys Why the Hoo-Hah About Doing Paid Surveys?

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 3:05 pm

by Davion Wong
Internet paid surveys or online paid surveys are not something new despite all the hoo-hah. Taking paid surveys on the internet in your spare hours is one of the simplest and best ways to earn extra income for your own needs or to supplement the family income. And though it is a money-making tool, it doesn’t mean that it is all work and no play. Internet paid surveys can be rather fun and entertaining. This is perhaps why the elderly folks and retirees are using them to make some cash for holidays and a simple getaway.

What are internet paid surveys anyway?

Internet paid surveys are simply surveys. But unlike the traditional way, they are completed online via electronic forms ie paperless. Each time you complete a survey, you get paid by the internet survey company which are usually market survey companies hired by consumer companies interested in gathering some information about their market and customers. It normally pays about $5 to $100 for a survey depending on how complicated and detailed the survey is. If it is a lengthy one with hundreds of questions, then you can expect to earn more.

Internet paid surveys are not “Get Rich Quick Schemes” or scams as people would have thought it to be. Recently, there has been some bad press as a result of unrealistic income claims by unscrupulous folks. If you have heard of claims like making $5000 by just doing a few hours of paid survey every week, then it is an outright lie. There are no such things. While internet paid surveys is a legitimate way of earning income passively and easily, you would never earn that kind of money with so little effort. But with a few hours a week, earning a few hundred to a thousand dollars is achievable.

People get worried that since it is so simple to earn money from internet paid surveys, the industry would get saturated as competition among survey takers mount. This is unlikely to happen. Consumerism is ever rising and companies are in need of market research material. Doing paper surveys are extremely tedious, cumbersome and results are hard to compile. More companies are using internet paid surveys which is why the survey pie gets bigger each day. So if you are an online income seeker thinking of making money from paid surveys, do not be unduly concerned. There are enough internet paid surveys.

Internet paid surveys are normally available for you to participate in for 3 to 5 days. But very often, it becomes unavailable within a day. This is because they have a certain quota for participants and once there are enough survey takers, they would stop anyone from doing the internet surveys. So the key is to be fast. Early bird catches the worm. Once you receive a notification email of invitation, respond immediately within the next few hours.

There are other kinds of paid surveys or assignments offered by these online survey companies like group surveys on focus topics, paid to watch movies, paid to shop, etc. If you want to earn more income, go for these as the payouts are often good.

Most people can make additional few hundred dollars a month without much sweat. But to earn a substantial income sufficient to replace your day job, you need to do more by participating in more surveys and of course spend more hours at that. The flexibility is there for you to work around your time but the key is to be a registered member with as many companies offering internet paid surveys.

Find out through my internet survey blog where you can register with the most number of survey companies offering good-paying internet paid surveys.

Best ten audio books to improve your mind

Thursday 31 May 2007 @ 3:05 pm

by StevChilds
It’s indeed incredible that not many people pay a great deal of attention to what gets into their minds.

If your mind is positive and creative, you can become all you ever dream of becoming.

Most of the highly successful people you see in the news today took a great deal of time to work on improving their minds.

On the other hand, if your mind is negative and inactive, it’s very likely you won’t amount to anything in life. Analyzing the lives of some of the most notorious people in the world would reveal that they always fed their minds with negative thoughts.

The question that obviously comes to play here is - are we born with positive or negative minds?

I will quickly and firmly say NO to both!

We develop our minds by what we put into it. If we are continually putting negative information into our minds, this results to negative thoughts and ultimately negative actions.

So, if you want the opposite creative thoughts, it is pertinent to always get the right kind of information into your mind.

The most common way to do this is by reading the right kinds of books.

Sadly, because of the great demand on our time, only few people still read lots of books, especially after college.

We mostly only have time to read the newspapers and magazines. And guess what? Most newspapers only end up giving us bad news that further increase our negative state of mind.

If you want to really get positive and helpful information, you need to read books that contain such information.

Thankfully with the advent and popularity of audio books, anyone can get the right information into his or her mind without having to “read”.

You can enjoy the benefits of audio books while exercising, commuting to and from your work, etc.

For those who don’t know exactly the audio books to go for, below are some of the 10 best audio books to improve your mind.
